One value shown on an EU tyre label is fuel efficiency. This is closely linked to rolling resistance. The higher the rolling resistance, the more energy your MINI needs to overcome it – which means lower efficiency and range. An EU tyre label grades from A to E, with A being the best in terms of efficiency.
Proper tyre inflation is crucial. Underinflated tyres increase rolling resistance, leading to higher energy consumption. Your Tyre Pressure Monitor will always give you an accurate tyre pressure reading in your MINI. Simply select "My MINI" > "Vehicle status" > "Tyre Pressure Monitor". It’s also worth noting that larger, wider tyres generally have greater road contact, resulting in higher rolling resistance.
Your local MINI Partner will be more than happy to carry out a winter/summer tyre change for you with MINI Approved Tyres. All work is carried out by MINI trained technicians following strict MINI procedures and only using MINI Original Parts.
