ALL4 ALL-WHEEL DRIVE.

The ALL4 all-wheel drive system distributes power dynamically between all wheels, giving you terrain-tackling traction and grip on all surfaces. And if it detects any loss of traction due to wet or icy surfaces, it shifts power dynamically as needed. This lets take advantage of the rugged, adventurous nature of your MINI Countryman. So whatever the forecast holds, you stay in control – and in your element.

DRIVING ASSISTANCE.

The optional Driving Assistant is like having an extra pair of eyes. It warns you about vehicles in the “blind spot” and if needed actively supports steering your MINI back into the lane. In addition it helps detecting crossing traffic behind you when you are reversing with your MINI. Driving Assistant Plus includes camera and radar-based driver assistance features. It makes getting to your destination more relaxing by automatically maintaining your desired speed, lane, and distance to the preceding vehicle.

With the Driving Assistant Professional you can lean back. It assists you in all kinds of traffic situations without taking control away from you.

MINI INTELLIGENT PERSONAL ASSISTANT – VISUALLY ACCOMPANIED BY MINI.

A full-featured voice assistant has found its way into the cockpit of the MINI models for the first time. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant can be activated using the greeting “Hey MINI” or by pressing the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel. Voice-controlled interaction on the circular OLED display takes the form of an animation featuring graphical elements, typography and an avatar. In terms of the display, drivers can choose between “MINI” – a stylised image of a MINI – and the new digital MINI assistant known as “Spike”.

The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant operate key functions of your MINI, like the navigation, telephony, the radio or even control the temperature. Maybe there’s something you need to know about your journey. The weather. Or you have a special request. Even if it’s just for a little chat, or you want to hear a joke.

The cloud-based, intelligent navigation, that comes standard, features significantly improved performance and particularly intuitive destination entry. It enables fast and dynamic route calculation based on precise real-time traffic data delivered at short intervals, which is then combined with predictive models. When the navigation app is selected, the map fills the entire OLED display. The colour of the displayed map adapts to suit the selected MINI Experience Mode. Automaitcally updated to the latest available, this system not only saves you time – it helps you with loading-optimized route guidance.

Get closer than ever to your MINI with the MINI App. Tap into a world of connections and convenience from anywhere and at anytime using your smartphone. Its modern design, intuitive operation and extensive range of functions make it smooth to use enabling you to enjoy carefree mobility – anytime and anywhere. What's more, MINI drivers with compatible devices can now use the MINI App as a digital key to unlock and lock their MINI, and much more.

Digital Key Plus.

You can now open your MINI just by getting closer to it. The optional Digital Key Plus uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology with a high safety standard and works in just the same way as a traditional key fob. So if you are nearby, and your phone is in your pocket or a bag, it will unlock your MINI automatically – and then lock it again when you leave. Moreover, you can share the key with your family or friends via simple text message.

Want more connectivity?

In conjunction with the optional MINI Connected Package you have access to an ever growing range of practical features and entertaining apps, including options for gaming, music and video streaming.

You can now also look forward to a form of in-car gaming that is unique in the automotive sector. Drivers and passengers can play so-called casual games in the AirConsole app when the vehicle is stationary.

Music streaming apps like Spotify and Amazon Music have been adapted to the MINI Operating System 9 so that they integrate perfectly into the round MINI Interaction Unit, enabling MINI customers to enjoy an intuitive and visually appealing music streaming experience.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available in the MINI Operating System 9 for wireless smartphone connectivity. Besides appearing on the MINI Interaction Unit, relevant information can also be shown on the optionally available Head-Up Display.

Everything you need is a just turn of a toggle away – from the parking brake to the gears to the MINI Experience Modes, and much more. The five intuitive controls have been relooked and redesigned and are now even easier to reach, use and play around with.

GO-KART FEELING STEERING.

The fun starts the second you grip the steering wheel. Inspired by the timeless classic Mini we have given it a redesign, slightly reducing the size to give you an even more intense, classic contemporary MINI go-kart feeling. And instead of a third spoke it now features a stylish, decorative fabric strap. The left control panel lets you activate the driver assistance systems, and you can operate your entertainment and communication functions with the right panel.

Our designers have come up with a smart Travel & Comfort System that allows various attachments to be quickly and easily put into place. Holders for your tablets, clothes hangers and universal hooks for bags can be securely attached to the backrests of the front seats. There are clever foldable cup holders – and now folding tables can also be attached as work or storage surfaces.

FOLD DOWN AND LOAD UP.

The highly versatile MINI Countryman is more than generous when it comes to space. It has space for five long-legged adults, and the back seats fold to offer extra boot space or legroom. You can create even more legroom or cargo space by sliding the rear bench back or forwards by as much as 13 cm. CAR PARKS AND GARAGES.

If you own a garage, you want to make sure your MINI will fit properly in the space you have. And not all garages are the same size. The new MINI Countryman is 4,433 mm long, has a width of 2,069 mm (at side mirrors) and a height of 1,656 mm. So it should fit into most spaces, and thanks to its quick steering, excellent handling and rear parking sensors, manoeuvring it around city streets and car parks is a dream.

11,5 M TURNING CIRCLE.

The turning diameter of a car is the minimum space it needs to make a circular turn (i.e., a U-turn). The MINI Countryman has a small turning circle of 11,5 m to give you surprisingly agile handling for a vehicle of its size. This is perfect for steering through city streets, heavy traffic and into tight spaces – and straightening up after reversing. It handles twisty, off-road terrain with equal confidence.
