BUDGET BENEFITS.
Thinking of making the switch to electric? Here you’ll see how ownership of an all-electric MINI car comes with its own set of financial benefits, making it a smart choice for the discerning buyer.
LOWER RUNNING COSTS.
When considering the total cost of ownership, an all-electric MINI is an attractive economic proposition that can lead to significant savings over time
- Government incentives, subsidies and tax benefits can still significantly lower the initial purchase cost
- Charging an all-electric MINI is considerably cheaper than fueling a combustion-engine car
- Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts which means less wear and tear, reducing the frequency and cost of maintenance
TAX BENEFITS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES.
In Germany, owners of electric vehicles registered before December 31, 2025, are exempted from paying vehicle tax until December 31, 2030.
Vehicles emitting ≤ 95g CO2/km are also exempted from the Annual Circulation tax (also known as Road Tax).
Companies with all-electric (BEV) or plug-in hybrid cars in their fleet can take advantage of a tax reduction of 0.5-1% of the gross list price per month.
CHARGING INCENTIVES AND BENEFITS.
In Germany, there are both national and regional charging incentives in the form of tax reductions and grants for both residential and commercial infrastructure.
THINGS WE'RE OFTEN ASKED.
Charging settings in your all-electric MINI enable the charging process to be adapted to local conditions or personal preferences. For instance, the target level can be set to 80% in order to protect the battery and improve charging performance.
At MINI, we understand the importance of charging capabilities, both at home and in public. That’s why we’re offering either a complimentary standard Pod Point 7kW Home Charger with standard installation or public charging credit for your MINI Charging account when you order an all-electric MINI between 1 July and 31 December 2023. (Subject to availability).
As an alternative, you can opt for £750 credit towards MINI Charging instead.
With MINI Charging, you can charge across Europe in one of the largest and constantly growing public charging networks with over 300,000 charging points.
An all-electric vehicle can provide fuel savings when compared to combustion engines. Further savings can be made in certain cities that offer free or subsidised parking for low emission vehicles and all of our electric models currently (as of May 2023) qualify for the Congestion Charge exemption with CO2 emissions less than the 75g/km criteria – saving per month.
